Intuition: Your Own Inner Guidance

Intuition, gut feeling, hunch, insight, inner voice…

Listening to my intuition is part of may daily life now.  I guess I started relying more on my intuition after learning the hard way.

In the past, whenever I did not listen to my intuition, I made bad decisions, took a wrong turn, hired the wrong employee, got a ticket, hurt my back, paid too much in lawyer’s fee, lost a few thousand dollars…  The list is long.

Even though making “mistakes” is part of our learning and growth there’s no reason to go about life doing it the hard way.

When I don’t listen to my intuition or gut feeling it feels like swimming against the current.   I much prefer going with the flow.  When I listen to my intuition I’m navigating through life with ease and joy.

When I listen to my inner voice I make better decisions, I hire the best employees for my business, I stay healthy, attract and create opportunities for financial growth and overall my life is more harmonious.

I’ve learned that listening to my intuition is the most reliable tool that I have to create a magnificent life.  It’s only natural therefore that I should develop my intuition more and I would like to share a few tips that might help you as well.

How to recognize intuition

Let me tell you first what your intuition is not: your intuition is NOT the nagging, complaining, fearful voice in your head. :-(   Intuition is soft, gentle and kind.  To hear your intuition you must quiet the other annoying voice :-)

You can learn to recognize intuition by paying attention to your feelings and sensations in your body.  When something feels wrong you might sense it in your gut and feel a part of your body contract.  When something feels wrong you may have a drop in your energy.

When something feels right you might have a sense of expansion in your body or you might have a surge of uplifting energy.

When I have an intuition about something I feel it my solar plexus, my heart, or I sense it in my body.  Sometimes I just know in my gut.  It can be very subtle however I have come to recognize this whisper and if I move forward in the wrong direction I will feel a heaviness.

Learning to recognize your intuition is a process; the more you practice the better you will become at it.

Meditation

Meditation is a great tool to develop and learn to listen to your intuition.  When you quiet your mind you create space for your inner wise voice to come through and be heard.
